Francesc Amat is a PhD Candidate in Political Science at the University of Oxford (Nuffield College) and the Juan March Institute. He focuses on the analysis of second dimensions of party competition in parliamentary democracies. Francesc is currently working on his dissertation, which is titled "Redistribution and regional identity politics: the effects of a second dimension of party competition". His research and doctoral studies have been funded by "Fundación Caja Madrid", "Fundación Ramón Areces" and "Fundació La Caixa".
