Mario Vargas Llosa

Writing a novel URL: http://www.march.es/conferencias/anteriores/voz.aspx?p1=21541&l=2
I propose in this conference to describe the process that in my case I follow for the elaboration of a novel. Starting from when, based on a few images in my memory, an urge to fantasize appears in me acting as the seed from where, with time, the story will bloom, until months or years later all of this takes the shape of a novel. I will try to show the formal, language and structural problems that I need to face for giving the characters and situations the maximum visibility, and giving to the work an appearance of total autonomy. I will obviously uses examples from my own novels to illustrate this process, particularly from my last ones. It is obvious to say that my presentation will not have an academic or scientific nature, it will be as close and direct as possible, more in the spirits of personal testimony than a master class.
