For the first time, La vida de Samuel Johnson ("The Life of Samuel Johnson, LL.D.", 1799) by his contemporary James Boswell and one of the key books in the canon of Western literature, has been published in Spanish in a in full and richly annotated edition. The author of this edition, Miguel Martínez-Lage, will analyze in two conferences the importance of the famous English thinker and essayist Samuel Johnson (1709-1784); probably the most cited author in English after Shakespeare; making references to the Enlightenment England of the 18th century, and reading in-depth this biography, one of the most famous and important in the history of this genre.
