Richard Bernstein (New York, 1932), one of the most influential philosophers in United States, will address in this conference the importance of the thought from the also US-born John Dewey (1859-1952). Professor Bernstein will analyze how the "radical democracy" of Dewey, a fierce defender since the 1920's of the democratic ideals, can inspire us todau in our task of rethinking and revitalizing the "real democracies".
