This series of conferences will focus on the group of countries composed by Brazil, Russia, India, and China (BRIC), whose economic boom has caused a reordering of the world and some of the greatest events of contemporary history. The purpose of the conferences will be to updated the interpretation of the world on the light of this new re-balancing of wealth. We will analyze the implications of the irruption of the BRIC countries among the first economical powers in the world, from the political, economic, and cultural point of view, their influence of their control over natural resources, over external commerce, and over the convergences and divergences with the powers dominating until now, as well as to what extent all of these factors can condition the establishment of a new world order.
