Professor Juan Pablo Fusi uses as an excuse the "promised landscapes" (paisajes prometidos) quote by Ortega y Gasset in a 1934 text, as a metaphor of a collective and national ideal, in order to analyze history themes of a specific place, city, county or region. For Fusi "clarifying the landscape can be a path to penetrate the history of a country. The landscapes have historical signification: they are mythical places, epic, legendary, imperial, religious, philosophical, literary, political, national... They are always the scenario or a theatre of situations".
