The Penalty (1920, USA) by Wallace Worsley (90’)
Presentation: Eduardo Rodríguez Merchán
A young man whose legs were amputated as a result of an accident takes revenge on becoming an adult by becoming a mob leader of the San Francisco underworld, who plans to commit mass murder. Lon Chaney, a leading specialist in outlandish characterisations, as this film shows, played the main character, acting with his lower limbs apparently maimed.
On Saturday, the video of the presentation recorded the day before will be shown.
