Cobra (1925, USA) by Joseph Henabery, with Nita Naldi, Rodolfo Valentino and Claire de Lorez (76')
Presentation: Clara Sánchez
Tells the story of the relationship between a young Italian expert in antiques and the wife of his boss and friend. The last appearance of the leading actor and actress of Italian origin, Nita Naldi and Rudolph Valentino on screen together –Valentino was also the male star of Camille, the second film in this cycle–, both of whom regularly featured in seductive roles. This film converted the figure of the cobra into another of the recurring characterisations and symbols of the femme fatale.
On Saturday, the video of the presentation recorded the day before will be shown.
