Sunrise, the German film maker F.W. Murnau’s first film made in Hollywood, is an adaptation of a novel by Hermann Sudermann, starring Janet Gaynor and George O´Brien. Combining drama and comedy, realism and symbolism, it tells the story of an unfaithful husband in a love triangle, in the “sunrise” of his conscience of love, set in a storm, with virtuoso camera movements and great poetic spirit.
