Presentation: Patricia Ferreira
A French film by René Clair, based on a comedy by Eugène Labiche and Marc Michel, starring Albert Préjean and Olga Tchekova. In elegant Paris at the turn of the century, a groom is forced to comb the city on his wedding day in search of a straw hat that his horse has eaten in order to cover up his adultery, which leads to numerous entanglements. A hilarious comedy as a result of its intertwined storylines and rhythm, which was a huge success and established René Clair’s reputation as a master of cinematographic comedy.
On Saturday, the video of the presentation recorded the day before will be shown.
