Since 1975, the Fundación Juan March has organised Educational Concerts for Young People at its headquarters in Madrid, which are attended by groups of students from primary and secondary schools accompanied by their teachers (prior bookings are required). To date, nearly 840.000 young people have attended over 3,100 educational concerts the Foundation has organised. Presently, these educational concerts are held on Tuesday mornings, from 11.30 to 12.30, between the months of October and April. Upon request, attendance of these concerts may be combined with a visit to the temporary art exhibition on display at the same time in the Foundation.
The main objective of these concerts is to stimulate students' aesthetic and musical experience. These Educational Concerts for Young People are currently designed around a specific theme and are accompanied by verbal explanations by a specialist, incorporating musical and visual examples. They are also complemented with a Teaching Guide, available on the institution's web, for use in the classroom in preparation for the concert, containing texts, illustrations, music excerpts, scores and links to related videos on the web.
Under the title Family concerts, these Educational Concerts for Young People are programmed for the general public on two Saturdays in December
