Digital collection

This digital archive gives a brief history of Spanish musical theatre from the 19th century onwards, in the form of a selection of materials held at the Fundación Juan March library. Few areas of western culture harmoniously combine such a variety of artistic disciplines as musical theatre – composition, performance, playwriting, staging, costumes, lighting and design, as illustrated by the over 500 digital objects, from set and costume designs to librettos, scores and sound records, shown in this collection.
