The more personal data we enter on the internet and the more connected we are, the more probable it is that we will fall victim to a cyberattack. This risk, which affects both individuals as well as businesses and States, underlines the importance of cyber security, which could be described as the set of measures aimed at defending IT systems, and their users, against unauthorised accesses.

Cyberattacks translate into actions that range from the accidental disclosure of information to data theft, company identity fraud and even interference in democratic processes. They pose a global risk, a response to which requires a multidisciplinary approach and public-private collaboration, above all in the exchange of information and best practices.

The objective of the session, with guests Pablo López, from the Centro Criptológico Nacional (CNI), and Gianluca D'Antonio, Academic Director of the Master in Cyber Security at the IE Business School, a cyber security member of Deloitte España and President of the ISMS Forum Spain (Asociación Española para el Fomento de la Seguridad de la Información), is to analyse the current situation, identify the main challenges and to propose strategies not only aimed at designing an effective response but prevention and recovery after a cyberattack.

A debate format in which, once a month, on a Monday at 7:30 pm, leading experts analyse important issues that make up today’s social reality with the journalists Antonio San José and Íñigo Alfonso.

The presenters put some of the audience’s questions to the guests. Please send your suggestions to: lacuestionpalpitante@march.es
