SPRING 2018. Upcoming  lectures

The British Hispanist John H. Elliott with his Intellectual Autobiography will begin the spring program of Conferences of the Juan March Foundation, which will extend during the months of April and May 2018. This will be followed by a cycle that will analyse the historical and literary figure of Antonio de Guevara, and thematic cycles dedicated to the hidden sciences in antiquity and their legacy (Egyptian papyri, orphism, alchemy, kabbalah and hermeticism) and the history of life on Earth, from the first organisms to man. In the interview mode, the Conversations at the Foundation will have as guests Alfonso Guerra and Chema Madoz, and in Memories of the Fundación Vicente Verdú. The first-person testimony of the historian Santos Juliá, and the current debates in The Burning Issue on Childhood and the Labour Market complete the proposal. To conclude the season, a cycle will address the figure of the German thinker, mathematician and philosopher Gottfried Leibniz.
