Myths or History?

Juan Pablo Fusi and José Álvarez Junco interviewed by Íñigo Alfonso

What myths do we live with, what legendary stories legitimize certain identity or ideological policies, how does memory relate to myth and history? In this session, historians and professors Juan Pablo Fusi and José Álvarez Junco examine different myths, from the most remote ones such as the Arthurian sagas and the medieval chronicles of Covadonga, to the modern ones such as the people and the nation, in order to critically reflect on the construction and use of myths and history today.
