WINTER 2020. Upcoming lectures

Our programme of Winter Conferences for 2020 begins with a cycle dedicated to Queen Cleopatra and a cycle of five conferences dedicated to the Camino de Santiago, coordinated by José Luis Senra. Thought and literature will have a place in the cycles dedicated to Leandro Fernández de Moratín, Maimónides and Averroes and Elias Canetti; history will be the protagonist in a tour of the museums in the last century, the study of motherhood from the Middle Ages to the present day and the analysis of the figure of Gutenberg and the invention of the printing press. In addition, the format "Literatura Universal, en español", Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's Faust will be analysed by its translator Helena Cortés Gabaudan,with dramatised readings directed by Ernesto Arias. The Poetics and Poetry session will be dedicated to Andrés Sánchez Robayna. We will also interview Rosa María Calaf, Miguel Ángel Aguilar, Soledad Sevilla, Ricardo Amils and Antonio Alvar. The Burning Issue will deal with the topics of the new intimacy, vaccines and independent journalism.
