Clara Wieck: Three Romances. Andante molto

Ellinor D'Melon, violin, and Vadim Gladkov, piano

Andante molto, from Three Romances Op. 22 by Clara Wieck

With an interpretative style unlike Liszt's, Clara Wiek (Schumann) was one of the most renowned pianists of the 19th century and author of a remarkable catalogue of works, including Three Romances for Violin and Piano, dedicated to the violinist Josep Joachim. The first of these evokes the Gypsy style and reflects the melodic talent of the composer.
