Anonymous: Poco le das, la mi consuegra

Popular among the Sephardic communities in Bulgaria, Poco le das, la mi consuegra [Little you give, my mother-in-law] is part of what we consider today a klezmer repertoire. Largely as a result of an invented tradition inspired by Jewish bands from Eastern Europe, klezmer brought together diverse repertoires when the primitive slate recordings from the beginning of the century were recovered in the seventies.
