Cosmic music. Contemplating and listening to the universe (III): Makrokosmos

GrauSchumacher Piano Duo

Works by G. Crumb, G. Kurtág and P. Eötvös

This interstellar musical journey culminates in the work Kosmos by Peter Eötvös, which describes the Big Bang: the expansion of the universe, its shrinking and disappearance. The route, traced with a symmetrical journey, also allows us to enjoy George Crumb's Makrokosmos and some of Játétok's movements by György Kurtág. The images that accompany the performances have been selected and provided by the Science Communication and Outreach Unit (UC3) of the Instituto Astrofísico de Canarias.
