Making a living in art, literature and music

Francisco Calvo Serraller, Alejandro Vergara, José-Carlos Mainer, Joan Oleza, Antonio Gallego and Juan José Carreras

This series analysed the way that creators have made their living, either by choice or obligation, and how this influenced their creativity and personalities. Three lectures studied the historical perspective of this theme in the areas of artistic, literary and musical creation, as well as a "case study" featuring Rubens, Blasco Ibáñez and Beethoven. Essays containing the essential points of each of these lectures were published in the book "Ganarse la vida en el arte, la literatura y la música" (2012, Galaxia Gutenberg).
