The Bach saga, to the organ
Daniel Oyarzabal, organ
Johann Bernhard Bach: Chaconne in G Major. Johann Sebastian Bach: Prelude in G Major BWV 550
The organ is undoubtedly the instrument most closely associated with the Bach family: many of its members worked as organists at different churches, and also stood out as improvisers (and as composers). In this video, Daniel Oyarzábal performs the Chaconne in G Major by Johann Bernard (1700-1743), Johann Sebastian's nephew and pupil, who would become an organist in his native Ohrdruf, and the Prelude in G Major BWV 550 by Johann Sebastian Bach himself (1685-1750).
