Presentation of Our Dancing Daughters (1928)
The historian and film director Luciano Berriatúa presents, within the cycle "Melodrama and Star-system", the silent film Our Dancing Daughters, directed by Harry Beaumont. This film launched the actress Joan Crawford to stardom when sound cinema was beginning to take off. In elegant settings of the Jazz era she displayed the attractive frivolity of her young, hardened dancers, counterbalanced by personal sorrows and failures, on the eve of the outbreak of the Great Depression.
