Presentation of Blood and Sand (1922)

The writer Manuel Hidalgo presents, within the cycle "Literary adaptations" the silent film Blood and Sand (1922), by Fred Niblo, a colourful adaptation of the famous bullfighting novel by Vicente Blasco Ibáñez, the best paid literate in Hollywood's silent period. Its main character was Rodolfo Valentino, who was launched to fame the year before with The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, another novel by the same author.
