The philosophy of ageing

Victoria Camps

A summary of the lecture in which the philosopher Victoria Camps puts her reflections about ageing into context, analysing the ideas of Cicero, Simone de Beauvoir, Norberto Bobbio, Jean Améry and Rita Levi-Montalcini. She stresses the importance of a positive attitude, of living the end of one’s life as a challenge and advocates the search for a more humanised old age.
