The organetto and the clavisimbalum
Tasto solo: Guillermo Pérez, organetto and David Catalunya, clavisimbalum
Tasto Solo’s concert (Guillermo Pérez, organetto and David Catalunya, clavisimbalum) recreated music life at the Royal House of Catalonia-Aragon during the fourteenth century. The rich correspondence of John I of Aragon, part of which was read out during the concert, served as documentary support for the program. Furthermore, the performers’ explanations about the history of these unknown Medieval instruments, the organetto and the clavisimbalum, and how they worked, provide us with a more accurate view of Medieval music.
