Fugue III from Six Fugues on the Name of BACH, by Schumann

Robert Schumann: "Mit sanften Stimmen", Fugue III of Six Fugues on the Name of BACH Op. 60
A projection of the BACH motif in colour on the façade of the organ makes it easy to discover when the Bach motif in the third of the Robert Schumann's Six Fugues in the name of BACH Op. 60 sounds. Inspired by the Bachian legacy and by the organ sonatas of Mendelssohn, they are the only work that Schumann composed for the organ. The third, which is shown in this video, was composed in September 1845 and is marked by its static and introspective character.
