Emily Dickinson: "My Life had stood – a Loaded Gun"

Laura Freixas, presentation. Irene Gutiérrez Caba, dramatized readings

The actress Julia Gutiérrez Caba presents a dramatised reading of letters and poems by Emily Dickinson, given by Laura Freixas. The first letter is addressed to her friend Susan Gilbert, whom she misses and in which she yearns for her childhood days. The second is apparently a love letter to an unknown recipient, while the third and fourth seek the advice and opinion of the literary critic Thomas W. Higginson. Desire, childhood and marriage are some of the themes of the poems that will be read.
