Lights of the Day: Moonlight
Albert Guinovart, piano
Albert Guinovart: Nocturno (a Pilar Bayona); Nocturno a Chloé; and Nocturno "Clar de lluna"; and Claude Debussy: "Clair de lune" from Suite bergamasque
Moonlight (or imperfect darkness) is the inspiration behind this program. The well-known “Clair de lune” from Debussy’s Suite bergamasque is coupled with three nocturnes by Guinovart himself (including a world premiere). The music’s evocativeness is complemented with a video creation that reproduces the mysterious effect of the moon’s reflection on a peaceful night.
