What do the Dead Sea Scrolls reveal?

Julio Trebolle and Florentino García Martínez

In a series of three lectures, Professors Julio Trebolle and Florentino García Martínez explain the significance of the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Trebolle compares Jewish and Christian identities following the discovery of the Qumran community, whose texts have led to new interpretations about the traditions of the different Jewish towns and the different versions of the Bible, especially about the origins of the New Testament. Based on the difficult textual classification of the scrolls, García Martínez gives an overview of their contents with regard to the canonical biblical texts.
