Chekhov live

Irene Escolar and Israel Elejalde, dramatized readings. Eduardo Fernández, piano. Marcos Ordóñez, commentary

As Marcos Ordóñez observes in his presentation, “Chekhov’s works cannot be summed up in just a few sentences. That’s why they are so modern, and why it was so difficult for them to become fashionable in their time (…) They are a mosaic of stories about the trials and tribulations of the heart and the misunderstandings of life, the passage of time as a destroyer of hopes and illusions”. The actors Irene Escolar and Israel Elejalde perform scenes from Uncle Vanya, The Seagull and The Bear, with the company of the pianist Eduardo Fernández.
