What was agreed upon during the Spanish Transition to Democracy? What are the myths and who were the main players? Was there a “ruptura pactada” and a “one size fits all” approach? How is it interpreted today? The jurist and politician Juan Antonio Ortega, who formed part of the Grupo Tácito, propelled the Centro Democrático and was General Secretary of Unión de Centro Democrático (UCD) and recently published Memorial de transiciones (1939-1978), together with the sociologist Ignacio Sánchez-Cuenca, the author of Atado y mal atado. El suicidio institucional del franquismo y el surgimiento de la democracia (2014), address several of these issues.
