Paris 1905. The concerts of Ricardo Viñes (III)

Eldar Nebolsin, piano

Works by W. A. Mozart, L. van Beethoven, F. Schubert, C. M. von Weber, F. Mendelssohn, R. Schumann and F. Chopin

Ricardo Viñes was one of the most distinguished pianists of his time. A friend of Ravel and Debussy, Falla and Turina, he premiered many of their works. In 1905 he presented four historical concerts in Paris in which he traced the history of the piano. The second of these recitals, with a repertory spanning Mozart to Chopin, is reproduced in Eldar Nebolsin’s recording.
