The poems of Friedrich Hölderlin

Ernesto Arias, actor, Helena Cortés Gabaudan, Elena Gragera, mezzosoprano and Antón Cardó, piano

According to Helena Cortés Gabaudan, “his works don’t only primarily discuss subjective experiences; much more than this, for Hölderlin, the poet should be a mediator between the ‘divine’ and the ‘human’”. Divided into thematic blocks (nature, the homeland, the beloved, existential poems, Greece and poetry about poetry), the actor Ernesto Arias presents a dramatised reading of a selection of poems, together with the performance of lieder by the mezzo-soprano Elena Gragera and the pianist Antón Cardó, commented on by Helena Cortés Gabaudan.
