In memory of the writer Juan Carlos Onetti (Montevideo, 1909 – Madrid, 1994), Cervantes Prize in 1980 and author of El pozo, La vida breve, Los adioses and El astillero, the Fundación will host a new session of Names from Latin America, a format dedicated to Latin-American creation and thought.

The first day, the writer and winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2010 Mario Vargas Llosa will discuss the life and works of Juan Carlos Onetti with the journalist and writer Juan Cruz, while in the second, the actor Emilio Gutiérrez Caba will present a dramatised reading of various texts by the Uruguayan writer, that will be contextualized by Juan Cruz. In this session, the pianist Juan Esteban Cuacci will perform some tangos.
