José María Micó, a poet, Professor of Literature at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and a specialist in Luis de Góngora (1561-1627), wiil analyse the figure of the great poet of the Golden Age. Góngora was one of the most important reformers of poetic language and his originality has defined the evolution of poetry in Spanish, both in his time and after his death.
His poetry was the basis for some of the innovations of Symbolism, Modernism, the Avant-garde and, above all, the Generación del 27. The dissemination of some of his works sparked one of the most passionate aesthetic battles in the history of Spanish literature.
