Since Pythagoras, many philosophers have sustained that celestial bodies in movement produce a perfect music, inappreciable to the human ear but irrefutable for the intellect. This series presents an alternative and feasible proposal for "listening" to the universe: the performance of compositions inspired by the imagination of this celestial harmony while simultaneously contemplating the cosmos through images and videos made with the latest technology, capable of transforming the auditorium into a privileged window to the cosmos.
Cosmos images, provided by the Science Communication and Outreach Unit (UC3) of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias, will be projected during these concerts. Alfred Rosenberg and Inés Bonet, under the coordination of Casiana Muñoz Tuñón, made the selection of the images and the accompanying explanatory texts.
