Nineteenth-century Spanish piano music: A proposed canon.

This series took place onFrom to

The nineteenth-century Spanish piano repertoire remains absent from concert halls. Unknown to the wider public and the majority of performers, and without a musicological discourse able to judge its true dimension, this legacy has been hard to accommodate in standard programming. This series aims to respond to this situation with a heritage recovery project, based on a self-imposed limit of composers (the most outstanding) and a challenging selection of works (the most important). All this, with the ultimate goal of proposing a canon for a musical corpus that has previously lacked one.
