Skriabin: complete piano sonatas

This series took place onFrom to

A contemporary of Rachmaninoff, in barely 30 years the pianist and composer Alexander Scriabin (1871-1915) composed a catalogue of piano music that includes over 200 miniatures and a corpus of 10 sonatas. Considered the most significant works for the genre since Beethoven, his 10 sonatas (1892-1913) reflect the evolution of his compositional style: from a Chopinian influence in his youth to a creative maturity in which he explored the limits of tonal harmony backed by mysticism, his synaesthetic universe and the belief that his work was a superior world of knowledge.
