The incorporation of the accordion as a concert instrument (a recent phenomenon in comparison to other instruments) has fostered a growing number of works to be expressly conceived for it. But this very circumstance has more often than not led to concert programs consisting of arrangements of works originally conceived for other instruments. These two types of repertories (original works and transcriptions) form the basis of his series, which will be combined in three concerts, thus creating a blend of periods and styles. Four works by Spanish composers will be heard for the first time in this cycle.
