Instrumentalis musica Medii Aevi

This series took place onFrom to
Although instrumental music didn’t gain aesthetic importance until the Classical era, its presence was widely felt in different areas since the Middle Ages. This series consists of instrumental music from the twelfth to the fourteenth centuries, which was originally used for different purposes: as courtly dances for the king and queens’ ball, to accompany troubadour songs and works for liturgical contexts. Music rich in rhythms and colours, which continues to fascinate modern listeners many centuries after its creation.
