Verdi in the Drawing Room

This series took place onFrom to
Giuseppe Verdi (like Wagner, Puccini or Donizetti) has gone down in history, above all, as an opera composer. And it is unquestionable that his greatest contribution is situated in the field of stage music. However, all of these composers also developed, to some extent, a much less-known facet: the composition of music for the more intimate settings of the drawing room and the chamber. Songs, piano music and quartets are some of the less visible repertories in their outputs, which are explored in this series.
