Alessandro Ferrara
Political Philosophy Professor
Letters and Philosophy Faculty of the University of Rome "Tor Vergata"

Tuesday 13 of november: "Exemplary universality"
Thursday 15 of november: "A philosophical reflexion about policy"

Professor Alessandro Ferrara will analyze in his two conferences the characteristics of the current philosophical world and current policy, as well as the role that the force of examples may have in both realms; something that for several reasons has never received the attention it deserves in the history of Western philosophy. What is exemplarity? How can something singular have a universal significance? How can we compare the force of an example with the force of law? These are some of the questions that will be addressed by Professor Ferrara along the seminary.
