The history of both Americas, North and Latin America, will be reviewed in this series of conferences with new focuses and a comparative perspective. Are the geographical environment, the weight of indigenous traditions, and the colonial influence, the revolutions and the independence process in both regions sufficient to explain the different trajectories of both halves of the continent? Five experts will present their points of view along these six conferences.
