Natural disasters have always been present in the history of humanity, and in many cases have been the cause of the dawn of entire civilizations. In our days, these phenomenons still occur and frequently their effects are multiplied due to human imprudence. Although the scientific and technological development has reduced their impact, it is still essential to develop new political and environmental measures to alleviate their effects. In this series of conferences, five specialists will analyze these natural catastrophes such as volcanic eruptions, the apparition of earthquakes, floods, epidemics and plagues, and will show how to reduce the negative impact in the development and future of our planet.
