1/8/2019 - 3/28/2019

The Winter 2019 Lecture Program at the Fundación Juan March begins with the series titled Women and Maternity in Prehistory and Antiquity. Furthermore, Luis Fernández-Galiano will analyse four key cities in the Western world during the twentieth century from a cultural perspective: Vienna, Paris, New York and Los Angeles, while Sergio Vila-Sanjuán will discuss literature written in Spanish in bilingual Spain. Carlos Hipólito, Jaime Siles, Amancio Prada, Javier Tejada, Soledad Becerril, Víctor Gómez Pin and Luis Alberto de Cuenca will present autobiographical reflections, while the current affairs debates will revolve around the revolution of audio-visual culture, election campaigns, and populisms and fake news.
