Félix Grande

“We write books because we are afraid…

11/26/2013

and we publish them because we are cold”. This is how Félix Grande referred to his relationship with words in the session of “Poetics and Poetry” the Fundación Juan March organised in his honour last November. There was also room for the evocation of memories of his parents, the horror of war and the impact Miguel Hernández, César Vallejo and especially Antonio Machado had on him. The latter was present with his poem Hoy es siempre todavía ("Today always is still"), to which Félix Grande would add: “Incluso después de hoy, sigue siendo siempre todavía” (Even after today, it is still always still).
