Elvira Mínguez and Tristán Ulloa

A Selection of Recited Sonnets by William Shakespeare

4/24/2014

As an example of the variety of subjects and tones in Shakespeare’s sonnets, these four poems are about the passage of time, youthful beauty, death and social protest, respectively; different levels of recursiveness and originality can also be perceived in them. This selection culminates with sonnet 66, described as one of the sonnets that differs most from the poetic models of his time.
