Laura Freixas

A Genius with a Room of Her Own

A brilliant woman who decided to make use of her income and her “own room” to compose around 2,000 poems and write hundreds of letters. Prolific, bold and candid are some of the terms Laura Freixas uses to describe the North-American writer Emily Dickinson (Amherst, Massachusetts, 1830-1886), whose poetry is characterised by its intensity, originality and wittiness.
