Ernesto Caballero, Karina Garantivá and Marta Betriu"In this mirror/ made of lies/ you can see what is real"
Poetics and Theatre
Ernesto Caballero makes use of the motive from the Theatrum mundi, or the world as a great theatrical stage, to question reality as representation. Through fictionalising and games of mirrors and masks, his poetics are built upon the influences of Brecht, Cervantes, Valle-Inclán and, above all, Calderón de la Barca. The playwright and theatre director presents a biographical journey through his dramaturgical creation, with the actresses Karina Garantivá and Marta Betriu reading and commenting on excerpts from several of his works.
