Cabaret lived its golden age in Germany during the first third of the twentieth century and its dynamic and popular nature sparked the interest of Bertolt Brecht. Apart from cabaret conceived as spectacle, there was also an anti-establishment cabaret that was crushed by Nazism. After the war, devoid of its political commitment, the genre lived on in the United States.
A summary of the 2015-2016 Season with over 150 concerts divided into 27 projects, including diverse genres such as music theatre, jazz, the great classical repertory, world polyphonies and contemporary music.
